Angie, this one is for you.
M is for: mirror, TWW, CJ/Toby
(women don’t get older) just a deeper shade of red
A/N: title lyric by Melissa Manchester. Thanks to Luna for looking it over.

She will be applying make-up in front of the mirror, while your teenage daughter watches from the edge of the bathtub.
Molly will see you in the doorway and give you that look, the one she somehow inherited from her mother and CJ. When you don’t leave quickly enough, she will wave her hand at you.
You’ll smirk a little and retreat to the living room, where Huck will be playing video games on the big-screen tv.
When she appears in her deep red dress, Huck will wolf-whistle as Molly makes her turn around. You’ll relay your appreciation with a nod, before walking over and offering your arm.
Dinner will be a romantic cliché and when the song starts to play, you’ll rise and ask her for this dance.
She’ll raise her eyebrows and say, “Strange choice. You trying to tell me something?”
You’ll reply, “Just be patient,” as you pull her close and feel the laughter rumbling in her chest.
As the lyric nears, you’ll lace your fingers with hers and hold her gaze. She’ll bite her lip as she hears it, and the blush will spread across her face.
You’ll think it’s the most beautiful she’s ever been.
