Harve Presnell died 30th June, aged 75, from pancreatic cancer.

Andrea Parker mentioned on one of the dvd commentaries that he'd leave her voice mails saying, "Hello Angel, it's Daddy." He sounded like a lovely man.

If he'd been born 10-20 years earlier, he would probably have been one of the great movie musical stars. I'm glad he got such great character roles in his later years.

I will go and listen to "They call the wind Maria" in honour of him.

Mother's hearing problems are more often than not a source of annoyance, but sometimes there is amusement.

We ended up in hysterics today while watching Grey's Anatomy. Callie said about Arizona - "butterflies on her scrub cap." Mother heard "butterflies on her scrotum."

The Ingenuity of Edith (or the Nicked Knockwursts Get Nicked Again) - Michelle's plan has gone wrong (again) and it's up to Edith to save the day. This would be so much easier without the help of everyone else.

The Cagney & Lacey 4 reunion tv movies will be released as The Menopause Years in August. There will be 20-25 minute interviews with Sharon and Tyne. There are hopes that the rest of the series will also be released sooner rather than later.

Was nice to see Tyne on last week's Grey's Anatomy, and on this week's Peak Practice, Tim Daly had two scenes with his niece, Kathryne Dora Brown (she was also on Judging Amy). She looks so much like Tyne.

Sadly, but not surprisingly, Life has been cancelled :(

No more Charlie Crews and Dani Reese, no more fruit, no more Ted...this is NOT Zen!

Relieved that they did have time to tie up enough to give us some semblance of an ending (though there was some plot hand-waving, especially with Roman). And the last shot with the sun on his face harking back to the first shot of the series - lovely.

Nice little interview with Simon Baker on 60 Minutes (Australian version). He has such a beautiful smile and crinkly eyes. And seems like a lovely down-to-earth bloke.

And amused that he beat Natalie Imbruglia for best newcomer Logie.

Rebecca Rigg is still gorgeous, though she'll always be punk Gabe (A Country Practice) to me.

Only just realised that Owain Yeoman is Welsh. He and Tim Kang were talking, and my sister and I were, "what the hell is that accent? Quick, grab the Mac and look him up!"

Day 8 of the happy finally...

Castle!!! Nathan Fillion!!!! The gorgeous Stana Katic!!!!!

We watched the pilot tonight and adored it. Such fun, and Nathan looks like he's having a great time, and that smile. And love Detective Kate Beckett. And Stephen Cannell! And for a pilot I thought the characters blended well and felt like they had history, the relationship between Castle and his daughter in particular is lovely.

And mum's particularly enthused because she heard nearly every word (Numb3rs and The Mentalist in particular have shocking sound - don't know what the hell they're doing).

But just having gone and looked at the media reviews - I'm not sure what show they were watching (no chemistry? Beckett one dimensional?), and what the hell is wrong with some fluff anyways? I watch a lot of shows, mostly in the drama category, and Castle is the most fun I've had in years. I also think it's one of the best pilots I've seen in a long time.

At least the dvds have already been announced for release.

Back to work tomorrow, then rest Friday, then Supernatural con on Saturday - both boys and Castiel.

Loved the Juno allusion in the opening dream sequence of a recent Medium ep. Cracked me up.
