This exam would've been more fun than the usual. Business Organizations Final Exam, Fall 1994, at the University of Montana School of Law:

Early last Friday morning, Ben Stone, one of McDonald's
employee/drivers, picked up his delivery truck and set out for
the first drop-off point on his route. On the way, Stone stopped
at a Quick-Mart for a cup of coffee, as he did every morning. As
Stone was pulling out of the Quick-Mart parking lot, he
accidentally spilled the piping hot coffee, burning his leg and
causing his foot to jerk on the accelerator. As a result,
Stone's delivery truck ran into a car driven by Mike Logan,
causing extensive damage to Logan's car, but thankfully not
injuring Logan himself. Assume Stone acted negligently with
respect to Logan, and that Logan was not in any way at fault for
the accident.

Two years ago Kelsey signed a contract to buy a private
island in Flathead Lake from Lenny Briscoe. She paid $20,000
down in earnest money, and agreed to pay Briscoe an additional
$100,000 at the end of each of the next 5 years. As collateral
for the purchase, Kelsey assigned her partnership interest to
Briscoe with the agreement that Briscoe could enforce the
assignment only upon a default by Kelsey. Kelsey has paid the
first two annual installments of $100,000, but is about to
default on the third installment.

To make matters worse, Elizabeth Olivet, a former secretary
of BKM Partnership, has sued the partnership for $50,000 on a
wrongful discharge claim.

large quantities from Belker Lumber.

Star Fleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard commanded it, and now some Trekkie owns it.

A model of the Starship Enterprise used in the pilot and title sequences of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation sold for $US576,000 ($774,000) at an auction of costumes, sets and props from 40 years of the science fiction franchise.

Built by Industrial Light and Magic, the 198cm miniature of the Enterprise-D made its television debut in 1987 in the episode Encounter at Farpoint, and then was used in many subsequent episodes, as well as the film, Star Trek Generations.

Before the sale, Christie's auction house had said the model would probably sell for between $US25,000 and $US35,000 ($33,600-$47,000) - but estimates have been surpassed regularly during the three-day auction in Manhattan.

More than 1000 items from the archives of CBS Paramount Television Studios went on the block over three days at Christie's auction house, and by early afternoon fans of the series had forked out more than $US4.9 million ($6.58 million) for set furniture, pointy Vulcan ears and other props.

Some Christie's employees taking bids over the telephone wore Star Trek uniforms, and a live feed of the auction was carried on the History Channel's website.

Other top sellers at the action included a replica of Captain Kirk's command chair from the bridge of the spaceship on the original Star Trek series.

The painted wooden chair was only a re-creation for a 1996 episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine which mixed action from that newer series with old footage, but it still sold for $US62,400 ($83,854).

I'm spreading the love of the Sesame Street Law & Order parody, Special Letters Unit. So damn fabulous, and Munch is to die for.

I love my mother. She bought a plate stand today so I can finally display my autographed Giles plate (that I bought last year). And she told me she bought a second, just in case I manage to get the Spike plate... When we booked for the Jewel Staite con, she immediately said that maybe I could get the Spike plate there. She didn't bat an eyelid over what I paid for the Giles plate, just asked why I didn't get the Spike plate too ;)

Someone please make the badfic on the WW lists stop!
It's reached all new heights of badficness.
And please destroy the badfic minions too.
*wail*

*considers training Eddie to hunt down badfic authors and their minions so she can chew their feet until they surrender*

Was watching the story on the DNC on the late news last night and mum said, "The two Johns. Are they anything like the two Ronnies?"
*not sure how many of the USers know the Two Ronnies*

***

As soon as you turn on the radio/stereo/tv, CJ starts whistling and chattering away.
And they love corn on the cob.

***

Where the fuck do all these fanfic authors (I shudder to use that expression in relation to them) get the idea that Jed desperately wanted/wants a son?
And as for the trainwreck from that idiot that I've had run-ins with...her characters are unrecognisable, the storyline is so far off the rails...and yet she has others praising her and wanting more?
It eludes me.

Now have all season 6 Buffy on dvd. Watched the Once More, With Feeling featurette and skipped through to the Willow/Tara bedroom scene on the commentary because I wanted to hear what Joss had to say. And he said, "This is pornography". Hee! Still want to know how they got that past the censors.
Though he said that the willow tree line did break up the ocean theme. And he mentioned the spread beneath etc several times.
So love that scene. And that whole song, Amber lights up when she sings.

***

Heart palpitations have been bad today, and was really shakey. Pretty sure that idiot on the CJ/Danny list once again triggered it. But I'm standing beside Athena on this issue. But the thought of the idiot responding just sets my body off.

I know I'm stupid to allow her to affect me like that. And I do try to stop it, but the heart just starts pounding or jumping. Actually I've been having a lot of heart palps with no real trigger. Which worries me, this is like the bad old days of the panic attacks. I thought I'd got past that with the nausea being now pretty much situationally confined. Haven't really had the non-trigger panic attacks since the bad days about 5 years ago.
