Question for the east coast of the US section of my flist:
I'm looking for spring flowering plants that would grow in the general area of Delaware. Specifically pink/red shades. Would camellias, azaleas, magnolias and dogwoods fit the bill? Anything else that comes to mind?

Date: 2006-10-21 07:23 am (UTC)Camellia sinensis is the plant species that produces tea. Other types of camellias have gorgeous flowers. They're native to eastern and southern Asia from the Himalaya east to Japan and Indonesia.
Camellia japonica 'Pink Perfection' (Camellia japonica is the most common species used in gardens)
