Just watched the pilot of Commander in Chief.

It was okay. Kyle Secor may keep me watching. Geena was fine, I do like the chief of staff.

A couple of major problems:

* The stupid fucking titles! Obviously the audience is too stupid to work out who's who, like they do with all other shows. Especially ridiculous the title for the President (I thought she was going in to see the Pope, stupid me). And the title for the Speaker of the House (after he'd already been mentioned a number of times, by both name and title). I was really waiting for the "Oval Office" title.

* Aaron was wise to avoid (on the whole) mentioning recent political figures. I found the constant references to the present and previous RL administrations distracting, and where does that place this show in time?

* Could Nathan Templeton be a greater caricature? Made Ritchie look three dimensional. Would be a more interesting show if he was more moderate.

Nathan Templeton is the best character on that show.

Really? I was waiting for the evil cackle and him to rub his hands together.

The other characters are so fucking stupid that I root for Templeton. Also, Donald Sutherland clearly has such a good time playing him, he's like the only member of the cast who looks like he's enjoying himself.
