Dancing
By Katrina McDonnell
Disclaimer: Wish they were, but they aren't.
Author's Note: Definitely drooling. Thanks to Rhonda, partner-in-crime.
Sequel to "Wet", "Dry", "Reading", "Writing", "Laundry" and "Cooking".
After cleaning up the kitchen, he went in search of CJ. Easier
said than done since the stereo was drowning out the hum of the
vacuum cleaner.
He located her in the hallway upstairs, performing her own
version of a foxtrot.
"You do realise some of that carpet is going to be much cleaner
than the rest?"
She switched the vacuum off and sashayed up to him. "It's
better than nothing."
"True." Pulling her to him, he waltzed them into their
bedroom. "More room in here."
Winding her arms around his neck, their feet slowed as other
parts took over.

"Sing me a song?"
"Now?" CJ opened her sleepy eyes.
He nodded, rubbing his beard against her stomach.
"Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling. From glen to
glen, and down the mountain side. The summer's gone, and all
the flowers are dying. 'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must
bide."
"Are you trying to get rid of me? Already?" He raised his
head, glaring at her.
She smiled, continuing, "But come ye back when summer's in the
meadow. Or-"
"Sorry, I have no intention of leaving - ever. Skip to the last
line of the song."
