"Dammit, CJ. I told you it was going to rain." The downpour
had soaked through his clothes in the time it had taken him
to run from the sidewalk to the cover of their porch.

Damp only from perspiration, she continued her cool down
stretches leaning on the railing. "You should've kept up."

"I set new landspeed records."

"My Speedy." Her grin faltered. "Don't you dare come any
closer."

"You like it when I make you wet." He grabbed her around
the waist.

"Put me down, Daniel!"

"I'm not going to be the only entrant in this wet t-shirt
competition."

Danny grinned as a naked CJ pulled his sweatshirt over her
head, the stretched-out hem settling around her thighs.

She caught his smile reflected in the mirror. "What?"

"All dry now?"

"No thanks to you. Where's the matching pants?" She
turned and faced him, her fingers tracing the faded "N".

"Don't know." Eyes twinkling, Danny sat up in the bed,
the sheet riding low on his hips. He pointed at the
dresser behind her. "Maybe in the bottom drawer."

She turned around, then saw his expression in the mirror.
"You just want to watch me bend over."

"Oh, yeah."

From his vantage point on the couch, his eyes kept drifting
between the paper and her. Dressed in his sweats, hair up
in a pony tail, lying on her stomach on the floor with her
feet up in the air.

She pushed her glasses back up her nose and took a sip of
coffee. "You going to finish reading that sometime today?"

Giving up the pretext, he dumped his section on the coffee
table. "You're much more interesting."

Her eyes still fixed on her pages, she complained, "I can't
concentrate while you're staring at me."

He grinned and kept looking.

"I didn't realize how bad a speller you are. Amazing you won a
Pulitzer."

Danny sighed, his fingers stilling on the keyboard. "I use
spell-check. I thought you were reading the newspapers."

"I was, but ironically I can't concentrate with you in here and
me out there. Come back to the living room." She stroked her
fingers through his hair, tugging on the curls. "I'll let you
help me with the crossword."

He finished his sentence and saved his half-finished article.
"What about my poor spelling?"

CJ leaned forward and kissed the top of his head. "We'll use a
pencil."

After transferring their work clothes from the washing machine
to the drier, he threw in the damp running clothes and added
detergent. He could feel her watching him as he turned it on.

"Always nice to see my two favorite men getting on so well."

His forehead wrinkled as she slipped her arms around his waist.

"I'm hoping I'm one of your favorite men."

"Yes." She started nibbling on his ear.

"Dare I ask?"

Releasing him, she sat up on the machine. "A girl gets lonely
when you're away."

"So." Her legs wrapped around his thighs. "This is a
threesome?"

Danny kissed his way down the side of her neck, his hands busy
under the Notre Dame sweatshirt. "You know that I'm never going
to think about washing machines the same way again."

CJ groaned, looking down at the moving "N". "Careful. You
don't want to make any sudden moves. I have a knife in my
hand."

He laughed, his fingers moving southward. "I think that potato
that you're mutilating is in more danger than I am."

"Hey. I'll have you know that I'm good in the kitchen."

His mouth hot against her ear, he whispered, "But can you
cook?"
