Tim Busfield is now a co-executive producer on Without a Trace, and apparently may be doing some directing and acting on it.
Now if only Nein would get a move on and show new eps instead of bloody repeats.

***

Had my hair cut on Friday. So nice to be able to see and so much easier shorter. I hate dealing with hair, very much a wash/dry/comb girl.

***

My A View from the Bridge playbill signed by Allison Janney, Anthony LaPaglia and Brittany Murphy finally arrived on Friday. So pretty.
Along with the Allison/Dayton Philharmonic cd from [livejournal.com profile] clairealison. Very pretty.
Seemed to be a slow mail shipment from the US, up to 2 weeks. I talked to my brother about it (he's a quarantine officer working at the international mail centre) and he said Homeland Security in the US seems to be the ones holding things up.
Also got an exrental tape of a Tim Busfield movie, Erasable You.

Saw rheumatologist.
The swelling/sensitivity etc is all to do with the inflammation. So I'm going on a course of Prednisone and hopefully that'll settle things down.
He's overall pleased nothing major's happening.
And I see him again in 2 months...last year I'd finally got onto 6 monthly appointments...with the next appointment I will have seen him 3 times in 6 months, and probably 6-8 times over the 12 months.

A little pissed off. Before the appointment I was looking at some sale cds at a small shop in the train station plaza. Found a Linda Ronstadt cd, which I had the cassette of and liked, for $10. I wasn't entirely sure whether I had it on cd and I was hot and staving off a panic attack, so I didn't buy it then. But mum and I talked about it while at the doctor's and she said to buy it and if I did have it, she'd buy it off me. So about 40 minutes later we were back at the shop...and it wasn't in the basket where we'd seen it. I then checked on the normal shelves and there was a copy there for full price ($29). We're extremely suspicious they took it off the sale rack when we left. Suffice to say, we didn't buy it.

And very weird. Last week I spent money I shouldn't have and bought a A View from the Bridge playbill, autographed by Allison Janney, Anthony LaPaglia and Brittany Murphy off Ebay. Should hopefully arrive this week.
Just got an email from the bidder I beat asking whether I was interested in selling it.
Ummmm...NOOOO! Why the hell do you think I was bidding on it if I didn't want it? How the hell do I answer this person?

I hate shopping centres, they're always too bloody hot. And I was in tracky dacks and tshirt and sneakers, and I so wanted to strip. I should've worn shorts, but it was cold outside and I'm supposed to be keeping my hands and feet warm because of the damn chilblains. And the overhotness made me feel dizzy and my head tight and a bit sick and my heart thumping. And the chilblains on my fingertips are such a pain in the arse.

But I got dvds. Brides of Christ (I can swoon over Philip Quast), Rear Window, Six Days Seven Nights (must feed my Allison addiction - and on the Nurse Betty commentary they all say how wonderful she is and comment about her laugh), Twister (my guilty pleasure), When Harry Met Sally, Truly Madly Deeply.
And I ordered Vertigo and season 6 of Buffy (ezydvd has them on for $40 per set).

***

I have 96 stupid words for Wingswing, and there's this weird framing of present tense by future tense.
Why is it so hard?

'West Wing' star Allison Janney engaged

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - Allison Janney of "The West Wing" found her heart in San Francisco, where she and actor Richard Jenik became engaged to marry.

The couple, who live in Los Angeles and have dated for two years, were vacationing in the city May 17 when he popped the question, a spokesman for Janney said Tuesday.

Janney is a three-time Emmy winner for her role as press secretary C.J. Cregg on the NBC White House drama. Her workaholic character finds little time for love.

A wedding date was not announced. Jenik has appeared in TV series including "Home Improvement" and "The District" and in the 2002 film "Hidden Agenda."

Forgot to mention. Sports Night and A Girl Thing dvds arrived today, as well as Julian Po (used tape).
And I'm busy as hell...and I noticed that there's supposed to be an interview with AJ on A Girl Thing.
I expect Gilmore Girls to arrive tomorrow, and West Wing season 2 early next week.

I wanna watch :(

Just watched my dvd of The Imposters.
Mum and I laughed a lot.
And I just realised that Allison was kissing Nate Fisher, Sr.! Hee! I seem to recall her saying in an interview that she had to record the sex noises at home (over the telephone?) and she was wondering what her neighbours were thinking since she wasn't living with someone named Johnny ;)
And Dana Ivey looks like a younger Maggie Smith.
According to imdb, Kris Murphy (reporter Katie on West Wing) has an uncredited part as The Escort.
Is CJ's love of grasshoppers a homage to this movie?
And I love Tony Shalhoub.
But how did it get a R rating?
Have to dig out my dvd of Big Night and find time to watch it.

According to my Greater Union newsletter:
American Gothic to spread evil on the big screen! | 28/04/2004
Remember a creepy horror series called American Gothic? It lasted only one season, but it made an impression on its followers and now a new movie version has been given the go-ahead with original star, Gary Cole, in the lead.

Trinity News has more information and links, though apparently nothing is confirmed as of yet and apparently rights etc haven't been committed formally. And according to that link there's been talk about a film since 2002. I've been out of the loop on AG for a while, was really my first heavy online fandom. So maybe I shouldn't get excited.
On one hand, I'm happy to drool over Lucas Buck on the big screen. I adore Gary Cole. But recasting the role of Caleb could be a nightmare. Lucas Black was brilliant.
And without Shaun Cassidy being involved? It needs his blackness.

But if it is confirmed, it might be a good sign of getting AG released on dvd (sign the petition using the above link!). I need to replace my tapes.

And totally different topic - the Frasier ep with Allison was on again tonight...she looks so gorgeous in it. The hair, the outfit, the smiles... :sigh:

Weird dream last night. I was trying to drown Peach...why I was trying to drown a starfish in water I don't know. But she kept floating back up everytime I pushed her down.
Don't know why I was trying to kill her, but I had the impression she was evil.

Personally I love the dress. It's the type of dress I can wear...though not so sure about the neckline plunging that far, I usually prefer a cowl since I have even less bust. But the body hugging dress is good for me.
Really like the pattern, hard to tell the colour exactly (see for darker colour), [livejournal.com profile] pekeana will probably tell me it's too dark ;) But I like it.
Bit more of a curl/wave to the hair, not as shaggy.

I'm very new and not good at icon making. But I thought I'd have a go at an Allison one.

AJ SAGs 2004

Any constructive criticism or thoughts?

ETA: Added border per Luna's suggestion, improvement.

Next day ETA:
