So so glad I was outside Gilmore Girls fandom. I was kinda scared of watching season 7 from the murmurings I passed by on the flist. But then I loved season 6, so I should've known I'd be different. Just as well I'm outside fandom, otherwise I'd be a pariah.
Watched 3 episodes tonight, including It's Just Like Riding a Bike and Lorelai? Lorelai?. I want to watch them again! SO much Luke/Lorelai gorgeousness. The fights, bickering, Luke and the car, the cap... and the SINGING!!! (I went all hot and sweaty and there were tears.)
For me, season 6 and 7 flowed naturally. I didn't think Luke was out of character. I didn't hate the Chris/Lorelai, thought it made a lot of sense actually, and they needed closure. And I like April. And I'd have Luke/Lorelai break up again for the moments like the singing and, Lorelai and Emily and the house buying with Emily's hand on Lorelai's shoulder when she tells her about the breaking up. I think I'm loving Luke/Lorelai coming together even more the second time.
Two episodes to finish, tomorrow night.
