For the Aussies:
Cameron Daddo plays host to a star-studded surprise bash for Anthony LaPaglia in the half-hour special WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE, on Sunday, March 25 at 6.30pm on Channel Nine.
WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE gives viewers a candid look into the private lives of some of the world’s biggest stars.
Daddo travels across Australia and the United States to invite the family and friends of Tony Award-winner Anthony LaPaglia to a surprise reunion party in his honour at Santa Monica’s ritzy Casa Del Mar. ...
Back in Los Angeles invitations are dispatched to a range of celebrities, including the cast of Without A Trace, The West Wing actress Allison Janney, LaPaglia’s Lantana co-star Kerry Armstrong, soccer legend Vinnie Jones and ex-Sex Pistol Steve Jones.
I'll be surprised if we see more than a second or two of AJ, but who knows.
*
And all the non-cricket watchers will be running for the hills, but even if you don't know the game, this is worth a look.
From SMH:
Long after India's record victory margin of 257 runs over Bermuda is broken or forgotten, World Cup cult hero Dwayne Leverock's classic catch to dismiss Robin Uthappa and the scenes of joy the wicket inspired will live in the memory.
Tears streamed down the face of 17-year-old paceman Malachi Jone as he returned to his mark after his first ever World Cup delivery caught the edge of Uthappa's bat and sailed into the outstretched right hand of the 125 kilogram Bermudan prison van driver.
Jone was lucky to be able to pick himself up at all after emerging from a maul of hefty teammates, while Leverock stormed around the ground in jubilation, as if he'd just won Bermuda the World Cup itself.
The link above has a video of the catch. That kind of catch is difficult at the best of times, and for a man of Leverock's size... And the bowler's tears made me teary.
