Does anyone know much about wifi internet?
The last two days my net connection has been up and down like a yoyo. For a few minutes at a time I'll have access to everything, but then I'll only have access to very limited things. Today it's been very rare I've had full connection. Weirdly enough I have access to my lj friends page, but I can't get to anyone else's journal to comment or look at a cut. I seem to also be able to get to my archive and entries, but I can't get to most other websites. I also can't download my email.
I have a Netgear WG111 802.11g Wireless USB2.0 adapter. According to it I have full signal, but watching the Zonealarm icon, I'm getting very little "green" signal (I assume that's incoming data). We thought it might have been the connections, so we used a different cable to plug the adapter into my front usb connector (it's usually plugged into the back of the computer). So it's not the actual connections or the cable.
Could this be computer related, or more likely the adapter has gone crook?
