Thank you so much, my lovely friends :)
I was close to tears after the phone call, good tears. I'm hoping this is the first step of getting my life back on some sort of even keel. It's exactly the type of job I need to get myself back in the workplace and with people. A little bit of money and some self confidence.

Watched Desperate Housewives. Glad I did.
Wasn't what I was expecting. Lots of laughs.
Felicity was so brilliant, I loved the scene in the supermarket where she lied about how happy she was. And thumping her husband.
Bree...I hope we get some information on how she's ended up being a laundry powder commercial. And love Stephen Culp.
Teri Hatcher, I'm not remembering character names yet, was good. And the other one (can't remember either actress or character) - a level of sadness there, when she said that it turned out she wanted the wrong things.
Edie - hope don't have to see too much of her. I'm not sure if I've seen Nicolette Sheridan (that right?) in anything else, but she's got a kinda plastic look about her.
Are all the episodes narrated? She's fabulous.
Mother nearly choked on her milk when Teri knocked over the candle. Every time she sees candles everywhere on tv shows she rolls her eyes and talks about house fires :)
But 7 were having problems near the start. Pixellation, total loss of the picture at several points.

Patronising bloody bastards at Nein.
The cheery voice over at the end went something along the lines of "This is the final of West Wing for the time being. Trust you enjoyed it. It will be returning soon. So don't panic."
When is soon? After they've exhausted all their crime shows/docos/reality shows?

We've had quite the storm for the last 90 minutes.
