Mum's home.
And currently feeling okay (she thinks the local the anaesthesiologist put in her back to reduce any back problems might be still helping) and pretty cheery.
But the doctor said the pain will get worse as infection sets in (which is inevitable when haemmorhoids are removed, she is on antibiotics).
She is glad to be home, hospital beds are uncomfortable and she prefers to be in her own surroundings.
She said the nurses were good on anything medical related, but not so good on the aspects of keeping a patient comfortable (just simple things like replacing pads and retucking beds etc).
I will type up the rest I have of Surfacing. But I warn you, there's some really awful writing.
