Eddie may not be as much of a bird brain as we thought.
Mum bought them a seed bell, Eddie ripped the last one apart and was able to lift the hook off the little wire contraption dad made to hang it on the perch. So we were constantly picking the bell up off the floor of the cage and rehanging it on the wire.
This time dad used a twistie tie to attach the hook to the perch...she was chewing the plastic, but she chews everything. Then when I went to have lunch I noticed the bell was on the floor along with the twistie tie.
The little brat had actually untwisted the tie!
Put it back on and by the time I finished lunch she'd half untwisted it again. So now there's another wire contraption. Let's see how long before she manages to unhook the bell...
She really doesn't like foreign objects in her cage. She rips apart things like apple and brocolli and carrot, throws the little bits everywhere instead of eating them.
