Chanel No. 5

krazykitkatWell, mum had been predicting for over a week that Chanel would go out at number 5, just because of Chanel No. 5.
I was hoping, but I was prepared. And I didn't want her to make top 2, but still... The travesty is that Hayley is still there, and next week is big band week and as Dicko said, Chanel should've been there.
Though in one way I guess it's quite amazing that she got that far, being left of centre of mainstream music. The record producer didn't quite know what to do with her when she came to the meeting with a list of 5 of her favourite cds (PJ Harvey, Portsihead, Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple and Moloko (?)) and said that's the type of album she wants to make. I hope a smaller label will pick her up. Because I need more of her voice. And I want the whole A Case of You.
She looked beautiful tonight, and that Rolling Stone shoot was so sexy.
And the song has grown on me, stuck in my head. Never heard it before now, but my brother said she sang it pretty much like the original, so why the hell was Marcia going on like an idiot?
Damn...the show has lost its sparkle for me.
And the last word goes to Chanel:
"If having an opinion, as a woman, earns you the title of being a diva then I suppose I'm happy to wear it. I don't throw tantrums, I don't believe in making demands and I don't believe in being rude to people. But I do believe you have to take an interest in what is going on around you because otherwise you will end up as a pawn."
