krazykitkatOfficially ticked over into the 25th here, so Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate.
Random thought from mother while watching the Christmas Carols: "Hi-5 is the Spice Girls gone wrong." Better than the 'they need poles to dance around' comment from last year.
We're having a slightly strange Christmas...no presents for us, we paid for each other's dvds that are mostly still in the mail somewhere. We haven't really had 'proper' present giving for a few years. We've mostly got them long before Christmas and you just hand over the money ;)
Lara's the only one getting presents. And that won't be till Saturday. Both brothers are working Christmas Day (one is a cop, the other a quarantine officer at Sydney airport), so it will be just the parents, sister and I, though we are having yummy food. Lara will drop in for a short while, but will be spending the day with her maternal grandparents (it will be her grandfather's last Christmas :(). But s-i-l wants my brother to be there when the presents are opened, so hence the not till Saturday when everyone will be available. Then we'll be going to the local Chinese restaurant for dinner.
This tree is possibly a little younger than me, mum can't remember whether they got it for my first Christmas. Suffice to say it's a bit over 30 years old, but I still love the blue-green needles.
This colour is probably the most accurate on what the colour of the tree is.
Tree partially dressed.
Everything except the tinsel and a few decorations we bought later.
Fully dressed tree! (try to ignore the dvd pile of doom under the sheet on the dining table, which we're trying to sell - the dining table that is. Anyone want a 1970s Parker teak dining table and chairs?)

Close ups on some of the decorations, particularly the ones that are
old and have been used on the tree for years.
This poor Angel's string broke, so he/she has been hung by his/her
neck off the vertical top branch. Poor Angel.
Our bizarre little singing and dancing Christmas friends.
Christmas possum. There's also a kangaroo and koala.
Snoopy!
Mum and sister made most of the beaded balls on the tree, including the name balls, can see part of sister's here.
