Strange to be able to talk about tv not long after the US screenings...

House - is it just me, or does it look different? (video vs film?) And Wilson's voice is different...we couldn't be seeing it in ntsc, could we?

Life - very much liked and interested in. Definitely watching more.

Bionic Woman - sorry, athena4lynn, didn't like it (which may balance your like out and so it won't be cancelled ;)). And there was nothing promising enough to us to give it another chance. Even Miguel and Molly aren't enough. The fighting was eye-roll worthy. I also seem to have gone off scifi in the last few years.

Heroes - Mohinder and Matt raising Molly makes me all warm and fuzzy. Has Matt's kid been born yet? Something died on Nathan's chin.


With the dollar so high, methinks dvd buying is in order. Someone please tell me I don't need Dr Quinn.

That's okay, scanning my friends list each week has led me to believe I'm the only one who actually DOES like it. Lots of friends, whose opinions I trust (including yours), have said its crap, and they're not going to continue watching.

What this has led me to is the determination that I have no taste in quality TV, and I should just give up now.

I've never watched BSG. I don't care enough about Weeds to bother with s2. I stopped watching 6FU after I think 2 seasons because I was bored and disliked the main characters. All quality tv.

They changed the style of the show - in terms of cinematography. That's the first thing I noticed. Also because all these shows are being fast tracked it means I don't have to download House in advance anymore ;)

Glad to know I wasn't imagining it. I can't even describe exactly how it's different, it looks more like something filmed for the news or a doco/interview if that makes any sense. I hope I get used to it, I found it distracting.

Life was definitely interesting - and it's on after House so I think I'll watch it.

And yes, you should buy Dr Quinn. Hee. When I heard about the 23 year high I was all, 'what should I buy???' I can't think of anything...

Mum had a bit of trouble following Life, he in particular is a little softly spoken. Plus a lot of information being imparted. Hope it keeps it up.

I am buying Dr Quinn :) I do love some warm and fuzzy shows. I've always got something on my list! And I'm really hoping that Gilmore Girls season 7 comes out during deepdiscount.com's 20% off sale, which is usually mid November.

Yeah, the first airing in the US gets Massive Attack's "Teardrops." Our song sounds similar but it's not the same. That happens a lot. Not so much with theme songs, but with soundtracks where the show gets a licence for the first airing but not for syndication or in the dvds. Some of the Scrubs commentaries pointed out that the song that had been used in the first airing was missing in the dvd version.

I know! I just want to go on a DVD-buying rampage. And Amazon has a 40% off sale. Problem is I've already 'acquired' most of the shows I want through *ahem* other means but I just love owning shiny happy box sets.

I do not need S1 of Friday Night Lights when I already have every episode. Repeat.

Glad to hear Life getting some good wraps. Sarah Shahi was in the L Word and I love her so I'll have to give it a go.

Deepdiscount.com should have their 20% off all dvds sale on mid November. I'm waiting for that to get some other things. But the Dr Quinn sale is on now.

Oh I have way too many dvds. But they're our entertainment. We don't go out, or on holidays, rarely to the movies.

*looks up Sarah Shahi* - I'm liking her, interesting character.
