Spent the day with the lovely
mandysbitch.
She had an interesting train trip with an assault occurring and spilling out onto the platform...she not only brings rain with her but crime too ;)
My parents and I took her on a (disaster) tour of the local area. Up the F3 through the areas that got hit by the bushfire early in the year, to Brooklyn where the Hawkesbury was very brown and very high due to the floods. Then down through Cowan/Berowra to Hornsby, then down the hairpins of Galston Gorge which unfortunately didn't do her stomach any good, to Dural and looking out to the Blue Mountains. Then around the long way to avoid the gorge again to my place. Lots of bush and ridges and valleys.
There was lunch and a tour of our home gallery and much talking. And it made me realise that I really don't talk much normally because my throat was hurting.
But as
mandysbitch mentioned, we wouldn't be able to exist in the same room for long. She was freezing and rugged up; I was on the warm side, starting off in shorts and tshirt, eventually graduating to track pants. I'm definitely a mutant.
And I was very proud of myself, very little anxiety! Meeting people, even people I've met before, is usually stressful, but
mandysbitch has a very calming influence.
