This is a fabulous summary post about the new "fanfic archive", FanLib.

Please read it before you consider posting your stories there. Personally I'd stay far far away. They're trying to make money and their terms of service are scary and will probably hang you out to dry.

And yet, somebody already has. And it's not being posted on FanLib, either. Which is really the ultimate win. =)

I first heard about it a month or two ago, and the brief details then were enough to make me wary. It's just gotten scarier.

I got an invite from them a few months ago and only briefly looked over the site, then pretty much forgot about it. I thought it was just any fic archive, and am kind of surprised it's causing a controversy. I guess it's a good thing I never got around to posting a fic there.
