argh!

I think the vacuum cleaner just packed up. Was vacuuming along the edges in the parents' bedroom and it suddenly made weird noises and lost suction and there's an electrical smell. Bloody thing. It's not that old. I hadn't vacuumed the tv room venetian blind yet. I'll just have to wipe it off.

Bubby Lara and parents are coming to dinner tonight. Apparently she's even more squirmy. Her mum said there's little point in wrapping her up now, she just gets out. At about 3 weeks, K had put her down, wrapped up in a blanket and with a all-in-one suit on. 15 minutes later she came back and Lara had got her arms out of the blanket, out of the full length sleeves of the suit, had popped the buttons on the front of the suit and had her little naked arms out through the opening. My mum said she's going to be a stripper when she grows up.

And best friend, hubby and bigger bubby Sebastian are coming to lunch tomorrow.

Tonight was the first time we'd seen her since Christmas Day. Was fun and comfortable and lots of talking and cuddling.

She's strong, she pretty much pushes herself to a standing position if you're holding her up around the chest. And she's amazingly squirmy. I was cradling her and she had one arm around the back of me holding onto my shirt. I had my fingers holding her dummy in, so she grasped my fingers with her other hand and held me there.

Bless her, that's quite a feat! Sounds like you're seeing quite a bit of her so your s-i-l must be behaving?

Since mid December things have been really good. We've been seeing her every 1-2 weeks. One week they came to dinner twice in 3 days. Tonight was the first time we'd seen her since Christmas Day. Was fun and comfortable and lots of talking and cuddling.
