Is it WB or the Palladinos sticking it to the fans with the season 6 Gilmore Girls dvds? *No* extras, and after the great first 5 box sets, they've regressed to the stupid one dvd lying on top of the other.

Didn't get a chance to mention this last Tuesday. Had a check up with my rheumatologist.
He's happy with my circulation. First winter in 4 years I didn't need an emergency appointment, Prednisone, or blood pressure medication. Go me! I did have chilblains, a few ulcerated, and my nails are a bit of a mess (but growing out), but overall it's good. Maybe I'm getting better at managing it. The Plaquenil may also have helped (it has some anticoagulant properties), but as it hasn't done anything for my tiredness and can have long term effects, I've gone off it and we'll try it again next winter.
Arthritis is stable, he's not sure what to make of the flares but so far they're rare. The tiredness is another matter...he's checking my iron levels again but they should be pretty stable. Not much he can do there since we don't know what's causing the tiredness and there's no tests for things like chronic fatigue. I'll be on the Losec (stomach ulcer medication - apparently reduces the stomach acid by 95%) for the foreseeable future. I guess having bleeds once might make me more susceptible with the anti-inflammatories, even with being off the aspirin.
Next check up in March. As much as I love him, it's nice seeing him less often.

Date: 2006-11-02 03:12 pm (UTC)The doc was threatening injections if my levels hadn't got back up to decent levels, but luckily they did. Still not fabulous, but within normal range. He said iron infusion is also a possibility, but I don't think he wants to do anything like that unless my iron levels drop again.
Funny thing is I can't say that I've got much more energy than I had last year when my iron levels were close to zero.
