Sometimes you don't realise something's gone away till it comes back and whacks you in the head.
Earlier in the year, mum and I had vertigo. Went to the doctor, he said it was an inner ear infection. Took a few weeks to clear up, and even after that we were having intermittent attacks for several months. Didn't realise till this afternoon that I hadn't had any for weeks, possibly even a month or two.
Was sitting in front of the computer at work when I got hit by one of the most severe waves of vertigo I've ever had. Nearly swayed off the chair sideways. Still getting waves, though thankfully not as bad. I hope this doesn't stick around for too long. At least it's easier to deal with than Dad's poor red swollen peeling and now biopsied lower leg.

I'm a glutton for punishment. Just sent another letter to the SMH that will never be published, but Miranda Devine pissed me off so much. So it lives somewhere other than my computer, I present the one and only public appearance of said letter:
Did Miranda Devine actually listen to what Major Mori said? She claims that he didn't wish to or wouldn't talk about various allegations. Miranda, check out the transcript on the Enough Rope website. He can't confirm it, can't say it, can't disclose it, because there are certain things that's he been given that are under a protective order. And no, Miranda, I don't consider David Hicks a martyr. But I do believe he should get a fair trial. Why aren't the US citizens who were captured in Afghanistan rotting in Gitmo and facing years without trial or charge? Oh, that's right, US citizens have rights no matter what they may have done.
And my grammar probably sucks.

Date: 2006-08-19 06:37 am (UTC)And that's an honour :) Thank you. And as I suspected I didn't get chosen, but other letters made my point. I just wish I knew what I needed to do to get published. Because I want to have a letter published in the Sydney morning Herald.
