I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person in the world who sees some tv shows...there were quite a few of them during the early 1990s which I wish I'd taped and I'd buy on dvd if they're ever released...and I probably was since they were all cancelled. Does anyone remember these shows, or by some miracle may actually have some on tape?

Under Suspicion: "Karen Sillas is Detective Rose "Phil" Phillips, a woman detective with Portland, Oregon's police homicide squad." Really good police series, with some of the cases stretched over two episodes for more indepth. Karen Sillas was brilliant (and i have this memory of her, maybe in the last episode, singing "I'm always chasing rainbows"), had a little crush on Philip Casnoff, and pretty sure this was the first time I saw Paul McCrane (Romano - ER). He was struggling, working as a detective, while bringing up three little girls after his wife died. He was just gorgeous.

Sirens: series about 3 female rookie cops in Pittsburgh. I only saw the first truncated series, I believe it was Jayne Brook's first major role (and she married the actor who played her partner). I had a soft spot for Molly, the one who was always screwing up. And loved her interactions with Detective Lugo. I have two episodes on tape, so wish I had more.

Missing Persons: missing persons police unit in Chicago, headed by Daniel J Travanti. Would've been Jorja Fox's first regular role (she played a cop who I seem to recall was a victim of domestic violence from her cop husband). Fred Weller was really cute in it.

Unsub: "An expert FBI forensic team that investigates serial murderers and other unsolved violent crimes." David Soul, Kent McCord, M. Emmet Walsh, Richard Kind, Jennifer Hetrick. Very short lived, strange series, but my parents and I *loved* it. The first episode "White Bone Demon" stuck in my head for years.

I fear none of these will ever see the light of day again :( Though maybe by just mentioning them here...I've had a pretty good track record with writing up my wish lists and then having them appear on dvd. I'm still waiting for Christy and the rest of EZ Streets.

Sirens sounds familiar, but you're right, the rest I have no idea about.

I believe the second season of Sirens, which was syndicated, was filmed in Canada. Didn't see it, and not sure I want to, as it got rid of a couple of main characters I loved.

I watch strange things...

I don't have any of them on tape but I will admit to watching them all when they were on :)

Really???? I'm not alone??? :)

Pretty sure I have a few episodes of Missing Persons floating around somewhere. Would love to rewatch all those series. But I don't know whether failed series will make it to dvd :(

I'm very surprised Missing Persons never made it onto dvd considering the people involved with that show plus the fact it was created by the guys who did Wiseguy / Miami Vice, you'd think it would eventually pop up on DVD. I always remember it being on a Friday night and spending Friday nights watching that and then Picket Fences (which usually followed it). It's quite disturbing that I actually remember that fact.

Oh, Picket Fences! Waiting for that to come out on dvd too.

Hopefully whoever has the rights will stumble across all these small series and think, "Maybe there's people out there who will want these."

I think you are my tv twin :)

I watch UNSUB (still haven't watched all 8 eps because I'm savoring them), but the Starsky/Hutch fandom has access to them on tape and some even have them burned to DVD. It's a really good show, well ahead of its time. I enjoy it and would even if David wasn't the lead (but he is and it makes me happy).
