Apart from [livejournal.com profile] athena4lynn, has anyone written their [livejournal.com profile] wingswing? Everyone seems to have nothing, I wonder whether it's because most of us have drifted away from the show, and of course with the quantity of our writing decreasing incredibly in the last year or two.

I've got a few sentences, absolutely crappy and it's CJ/Andy, but I can kinda see how it could be CJ/Mallory too. But even if I managed to do more, haven't got the time to finish it.

My Wing Swing is... half done. And it will be done. Possibly a little late as I have an assignment due, but it will be done.

I think the trick is to choose a crossover. I'm not so into TWW anymore - but I'm wild about the crossover character so it gets me motivated.

Got a week grace period. Crossovers scare me more.

I do have someone else on my flist who is done (I think). And you probably do have a point about the fall-off in interest in the show stymieing us; personally, the Grey's Anatomy fics I'm toying with are going a lot better.

There's just so many of us struggling, I think it's probably a factor.

I didn't participate in wingswing, so I can't make comments there, but I know that my ideas are only coming in droves now that the show is almost over. I guess it's my prayers to keep it going after the show is over.

But you were later to writing WW fic, weren't you? Many of the rest of us have been in it since nearly the beginning, I started writing in WW in 2001. So I think on the whole we've probably written everything we could (sometimes twice).

yeah, I did come into it later. I do hope that people keep writing, though. There are so many endless possibilites for the future, not only with the Santos Administration, but what could happen to our beloved characters.

I have something, although it's CJ/Toby in its gut and really goes against the whole spirit of the thing. I'm really uncomfortable with the thought of posting it for Wing Swing. And at the last minute I madly signed up for a second pairing, and I don't think that one's going to happen at all (nobody will read if it does, so at least there's no pressure!), and another ficathon due on Monday... I think I'm going to have quite a bit of apologising to do. In conclusion, I think it's more to do with me being rubbish than drifting away from the show, but, yeah, that doesn't help. Come to think of it, the beginning of my block does stem from around the time Sorkin left. Maybe it is something to do with the characters not being inspiring as they were.

Good luck! And try not to worry about it too much if it doesn't happen. (I know, easier said than done.)

And maybe we only had a finite number of stories?

I think mine goes against the spirit too, with mainly being the wrong pairing. I give up.
