Federal MPs in the House of representatives have voted in favour of a bill handing control over the abortion drug RU486 to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
After nearly two weeks of debate and a conscience vote in both houses, the bill has been approved.
There was no vote after it had become clear that the majority of MPs supported it.
Two attempts to amend the bill failed by a large margin.
I would've liked to know the number though...Jackie Kelly's amendment failed 49 to 96.
