Independent MP Tony Windsor who will be supporting the RU486 Bill:
"We have too many unwanted children in Australia now for whom we are trying to pick up the pieces and patch together their lives," Mr Windsor said.
"The last thing we really should be encouraging is for women to be mothers who do not want to be mothers, irrespective of their age, and not being given the choice of being able to terminate that pregnancy."

Labor's Roger Price is also opposed to the bill but he has questioned Mr Abbott's figures.
"Minister Abbott is happy to use the figure of 100,000 abortions a year knowing that it is less than that," he said.

Abbott continues to annoy the hell out of me. He's not interested in the medical facts, and as such he should have no say over it.
