Merry Christmas to those celebrating.

Watched the Carols tonight. Marina Prior gorgeous as always (and not pregnant!), and Debra Byrne's little girl was so cute! And for a 5 year old, not a nerve showing.

For the last few years, Santa has come round on the bush firies' truck. Luckily, with the heat today and the total fire ban, they didn't have to work.

The bloke leaning out the side with the microphone is our 4th cousin, he lives about 5 minutes around the road.


My brother is staying with us for the next few days (he's just moved to the other side of Sydney), and our other brother and his wife will be over for Christmas dinner.

This is my second Christmas where the heat hasn't made me cry like a little girl - the cold is doing that currently! I love England but I'm missing the 4am Fish Market prawn rush. And then the 4pm flop and drape over the airconditioner after eating too much pavlova.

Hehehe! The Fish Markets said it was their best trading in about a decade. Prawns in particular are wonderfully cheap this year.

I'd love to have a cold Christmas at least once. It's supposed to be a little cooler today, 29-31C.
