I just don't get New Years. It's just another night and it's not as though something miraculous is going to occur because we start a new year. Everything will be the same tomorrow.

And, yes, I'm a killjoy, but personally I think the amount spent on fireworks is ridiculous. It's essentially just burning money.

Listened to Sarah McLachlan's Wintersong while pulling down the Christmas tree (the cd didn't arrive till after Christmas so thought the timing was appropriate enough). Twas lovely and mum liked it, said her voice was pure. But trying to take decorations off the tree has really done my hands in. Paaiinnnnn...
