He can't say no to her.
Not when she knocks at his door or slips her hand into his.
And not when she looks at him with those huge eyes and begs
him to make the world go away, just for a little while.
She tries to hide the worst of the cracks in the dark, but
he doesn't stop until he explores every square inch of her.
With words and heat and touch, he fills in the fractures
and smooths her jagged edges.
He knows it's never enough and she'll be back, maybe tomorrow.
And he won't say no.
