Shapiray's burqa says it all for Afghan women and notions of freedom

What is particularly ominous about Afghanistan's situation is that the oppression of women is once again being given legal and religious justification by the state. It is vital that we speak up against this. In his 2002 State of the Union address, George Bush said that in Afghanistan today "women are free" - but he was wrong.

Am supposed to be finishing off editing the damn article tonight...I don't wanna!
Already dragged it out too long, but you know how you get to the point where you just can't face it, even though you probably haven't got long to go but knowing your luck it will triple in the time needed and you just don't want to know about it...plus I hate editing/adding.

Tonight the father forgot to breathe.

And the daughter knocked on the door, needing to be remembered.

Can someone lend me some stick-at-itness? (edited because Angie thought it was stick-a-tit - rotfl!!)

I did it!
No, not finished the article...but I wrote a calculation program that I couldn't get to work a couple of years ago. I had to do the calculations by hand last time, which wasn't too bad when there was only 32 of them, but since I'm doing 6 times that this time, I needed the program to work. And the solution was really simple, don't know why the hell I didn't think of it back then, but I was thinking the wrong way about how to set up the regression coefficient matrix, making it harder than it was.

I'm just not cut out for programming, and doesn't help that I pretty much had to teach myself it all. We only did a very tiny bit back in first year uni in Pascal, then when I got to honours I had to teach myself Fortran, and then started using Matlab during my Masters though it is similar format to fortran. But I tend to do things the very long convoluted way.
