Firstly, Happy Birthday to
pekeana!
Secondly, Merry Christmas to all who celebrate. Just after midnight here.
Not in a festive mood this year, actually we haven't been the last few years. It's not the same with all my grandparents gone and no kids around. We didn't bother with the tree this year, with mum in hospital and all.
But feeling a little more festive.
Watched Carols by Candlelight. Giggled at the running joke about Marina Prior not being pregnant (we'd been taking bets the last few days), though looked like one of the High 5ers was.
And Rhonda Birchmore was back! There's something about tall redheads with long legs.
O Holy Night is still one of my favourite songs.
And the bush firies brought Santa around on their truck this evening! He was a little wet, but the bush firies will be happy.
Took some photos, not the best due to the moving and me not being experienced with a digital photo. And I'd moved to the other side of the road for the last photo and ended up being too close.

My brother and sister-in-law will be coming for dinner. And we'll watch some dvds and eat some nice food. That's our Christmas.
It's the 30th anniversary of Cyclone Tracy. Santa didn't make it to Darwin in 1974.

Date: 2004-12-24 01:30 pm (UTC)Oh man the whole Marina being pregnant in the past reminds me of when I saw Sound of Music - ask Eden that story *he he* - instead this time around Lisa's pregnant instead :)
Yeah 30 years since CT hit.

Date: 2004-12-24 01:37 pm (UTC)I've only ever had one chance to see Marina on stage - The Secret Garden. And missed her because she had really bad morning sickness with the first pregnancy and she was only doing a few performances.
I was 8 months old.

Date: 2004-12-25 12:00 pm (UTC)Hope you had a great Christmas dinner (we did lunch up north) The rain didn't seem to stop the kids swimming or the boys windsurfing.
I was 4 when CT hit and I remember it vividly because my father came home from Darwin 2 days before it hit!
