It used to be that the non-ratings season over summer was the time I'd finally be able to see the shows I'd fallen for and were then pulled during ratings season, or possibly unearth a new gem. Of course cricket always throws a spanner in the works.
But now the damn stations are programming based on the ratings during the non-ratings season, and hence Judging Amy never made it onto Tuesday night as advertised, I'm assuming it's also the reason that Scrubs has shrunk from 3 to 1 episode this week. I expect Joan of Arcadia to shrink to one night if it's lucky.
