The cutest scene.
A pair of rainbow lorikeets (which are gorgeous normally) sitting on our windowsill out of the rain. Huddled together and all fluffy.
Wet, windy and cold. But would be better if it was all over the damn dam.

To the USers. What's Kerry's position on signing Kyoto?

Are your lorikeets tame? When we were living at Cammeray we started feeding them fruit and they'd do anything for a grape - including perching on someones head. I have pictures somewhere of two or three at a time trying to feed out of my hand. If grapes were on offer they'd flock in by the dozens. Yeah, they always come in pairs - It saddens me to think of a lorikeet separated from its mate.

Pretty tame. We feed them bread. Don't actually hand feed them as much these days, but there were times you'd have about 6 sitting on your arms and hands fighting over it. Could get quite painful. And incredibly cute when you could get mum and dad to come down and then the babies would follow.
We've got a couple of pairs who come and knock on the window when they want food (and one little bastard who climbs up the fly screen). And they know where the fridge is.
We have a single one, think its mate must've died. It has the sweetest nature. Often just comes and sits on the window sill for half an hour or more, doesn't want bread. Seems to just want the company. Poor thing.
