He wakes clawing at his face, the acrid smell burning in his nostrils, down his throat. The metallic taste (of her) triggers his gag reflex and he runs to the toilet.
He closes his eyes, looking for oblivion, finding only the rooftop (and her) splashed in red.
He brushes his teeth and rinses his mouth twice.
He scrubs his face, again and again.
He picks up his razor and rests the blade against his skin (against her). Maybe if he scrapes off the top layer--
Blood droplets land on the basin. He covers his cheek with his hand (preserving her).
