krazykitkat: (precious (Firefly))
Day 7 of happy:

My dolls arrived from the US! Eeyore Baby Doll - I'd already got the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet dolls through Bradford Exchange here, but found out later they'd discontinued Eeyore, so had to get him off Ebay. And Baby Jasmine who just makes me melt.

This year I've started wearing necklaces and rings again, which is a step forward (I'm sensitive around the neck, so necklaces tend to make me anxious). So I've started buying new jewellery. Went down the shops this arvo to have a look at some rings, and even though I found some I liked, they were too big. I finally found a lovely peridot ring that fit and an almost matching pendant for 1/2 price at Goldmark (I have a great love of peridots). Also got another Murano glass pendant at Prouds.

I want to find some more rings, but it's bloody difficult, between sizing and the fact that I'm extremely fussy when it comes to jewellery. I have two rings which I adore and fit perfectly - my grandmother's engagement ring (9ct gold, but the "stones" are glass - beautiful simple design), and mum's garnet ring which she got for her 16th birthday.

Ended up a better day than it started - has less than 5 hours of interrupted sleep, had to have a morning blood test which meant waiting in line for ~40 minutes, came back and had breakfast, then took all six budgies to the vet for nail clipping (and CJ got a beak trim). Daffy latched onto my hand, nearly drew blood. I could have used more rest this arvo, but I'm glad I found the peridot ring.
