Just a little wet
Jun. 5th, 2008 03:15 pmRainfall in Sydney this month has surpassed half the June average in just five days, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
"The average rainfall for June is 130.6 millimetres. We've had 81 millimetres already in June, meaning we're well over halfway to the average for the month in just five days," Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Chris Webb said.
"That's notable considering there was only about two millimetres of rain for all of May." ...
Overnight the largest rainfall has been in Gosford, where 102 millimetres of rain fell since 9am yesterday, Mr Webb said.
Hornsby received 77 millimetres of rain and Sydney received 46 millimetres, he said.
So we've had just over 3 inches. Lighter showers today, but it's miserable outside.
