krazykitkat: (bird love)
Poor freaked out budgies.

Heard flapping, went out, freaked them more lifting the cover. Sniffles, Daffy and Snoopy (Snoopy was sitting in front of one of them, I think he just got caught in the freak out, possibly even knocked off). Snoopy went back to his swing quickly, but Daffy and Sniffles kept flapping, and started Tweety off. Took a few minutes to get them back up onto swings and perches and relatively quiet.

Through all of it, CJ and Danny were perfectly cool, calm, and collected.

No idea what happened, whether someone had a nightmare or fell off their swing. Wish the young ones were easier to handle, might have been able to calm them quicker, trying to get them back up just freaked them more, especially Daffy.

I bought lunch out on Thursday. Of my own volition. And enjoyed it.

I know, it's something everybody does, nothing special. But as a lot of you know, I have pretty big anxiety/panic-laden issues with eating out, dating back to my mid-teens (half my life). Even the idea of eating out makes me feel sick. I have improved, and even have times where I enjoy meals. But lunch in particular is bloody difficult.

I had a number of things to do down the shopping centre, and so went down with the parents as they needed to do the weekly shop. Dad would then drop me back home when I'd finished. Took me about an hour to do everything, by which time it was 3.30pm and I was feeling hungry and didn't fancy going home and having to make something. So I decided to get some Maccas.

I went up by myself and bought a small fillet-o-fish meal. Started eating the chips on my way back down to dad, and sat with him and ate the rest. Was tasty, no anxiety.

Only a small step, but every little one helps.
