Oct. 15th, 2007 08:04 pmI missed work last Wednesday, period pain and absolutely exhausted.
And I missed work today. Watching tv while having lunch and things were blurry. I thought maybe it was just from looking at the bright day out the window. But hand/arm was feeling funny and numbish. Realised it was the aura part of the migraine. Had nurofen. This was 15 minutes before I was due to leave for work. Called in, said I'd see how I went and maybe come in later.
About half an hour or more of the blurry and shifting harlequin mosaic (and it's actually worse closing my eyes, makes me feel sea sick). Some numbness and pins and needles in mouth, face and throat. Bit of a headache. But mostly just feeling totally wiped out. Called work back and said I wouldn't be in. Hadn't had a migraine in about a year, have had two in the last month and a half.
Watched Cary Grant and Myrna Loy on dvd with mum.
And then dropped a jar on my two little toes. Because of the arthritis my joints are over-sensitive to any knocks. And because of the circulation problems, I couldn't put ice on it. Lumpy and hurting.
I just want to cry.
