He's taking my sister to an astronomy workshop up at Narrabri tomorrow (Sunday), about a 6-7 hour drive from Sydney. They come back Friday. He's going to do some touristy things, plus he's got my sister's portable dvd player and plenty of books.
This is the second workshop he's taken her to, the last was at Coonabarabran. He also took one of my brother's on one or two geology field trips (he got to do a bit of learning himself); he took me and my best friend on an afternoon/night trip to St Marys (western Sydney), we were doing boundary level meteorological measurements using a blimp.
I've taken the week off work (dad's my transport; still not brave enough to try public transport on my own, I find it uncomfortable enough when I'm with someone). So Mum and I are intending to watch some movies and do some window shopping.
