Sep. 2nd, 2006 12:55 amMost people with the house to themselves would probably relax, slob around, maybe have friends over...I vacuumed. Which took about 3-4 hours (the carpets more than half of that even though it's less than half the house). And that was not moving furniture and not being overly finicky (I'm terrible cleaning, always worried I've missed a spot; whereas Dad seems to think the rooms are circular). I had to get it all done in one lot and before my parents got home (they went to my brother's graduation from the police academy in Goulburn), because I knew they would've stopped me. Because I'm really not up to it physically, between my back, hands and feet. Plus I'm tired as hell after working the last two days. But the carpet was bugging me.
I'm really paying for it. Taken one of dad's pain killers (two of them makes me loopy). Having trouble grasping things. And lots of pains. But this afternoon it was the good type of pain and tiredness. Felt accomplished and useful and helpful. Tomorrow I'm probably going to want to knock myself out.
While the parents are away, the Kat vacuums.
