krazykitkat: (kill me now (XF))
Does anyone else have trouble working out what to do with limbs when they're trying to go to sleep in an unusual position?

The last few nights I've been using a higher pillow so I can breathe and not cough as much (damn throat infection). Usually I have a very flat pillow and sleep either on my stomach (with head to the side, resting on my right ear, can't do it on the left) or half side/half stomach curl position (lying on the left side of my body). The first is pretty much impossible with the higher pillow (I hate anything coming into contact with my throat), the second is okay.

I can sleep on my left side, especially if I'm cuddling dear old Pixie. But I cannot sleep on my right side at all. I can't work out *what to do* with my damn arms.

Actually wondering whether it might partly have to do with arthritis in my right shoulder (not a real problem, it showed up in the bone scan 8 years ago). Because I'm nearly sure I used to be able to sleep on my right side. The sleeping on my left side is making my hips ache though.

I'll be glad when I'm no longer glugged up. Went home an hour early Wednesday and today, was home sick Friday. Croaky and so tired. Period turning up yesterday was the last thing I needed.
