krazykitkat: (shine (Alex - SVU))
They sure are. They got more money.

I bought my parents the dvds of the series Kolchak: The Night Stalker for their birthdays. Thoroughly enjoying them, so whacky. And I noticed the name of one of the writers/story editor...David Chase. Yes, he of Sopranos fame. Made me laugh some more.

One of the things I love about watching older series is the "Hey, that's... before they were famous" moments.

Police Woman: Very young Kathleen Quinlan, Annette O'Toole and Mark Harmon (in his first tv role - he's much cuter now). Though very confusingly, Kathleen and Mark were in the beginning credits in their episodes, while Annette was in the end credits. Yet Annette had the greatest screen time in her episode, plus she had more credits to her name than the other two.

L&O season 3: the very first scene of the first episode, Gina Torres, who of course found the body. And a very young Lauren Ambrose. That episode also had the wonderful Alberta Watson (La Femme Nikita, adore her voice).

I'm enjoying Veronica Mars more since 10 has brought it back. In particular I've really warmed to Logan. Unlike Duncan so far, he has personality. Even mum seems to be enjoying it more (she's been very luke warm). Just watched ep 14, Mars vs Mars.

Adoring Medium. Still that fabulous family dynamic, the girls arguing, and the gorgeous elfin Marie has had her first lines. And the tiny part of me that wishes to break up the happy home with an affair with Detective Scanlon is delighted to see how relaxed Alison and Lee are with each other now.
