(no subject)
Jan. 11th, 2006 11:07 pmThe humidity has really got into my joints, every single one of them. I was aching and stiff when I got up this morning (after weird muscle grabbing in my elbow last night), and then mid morning I had spasms in my upper back between my shoulder blades. Thought it best not to risk work (it's a little physical). Seems to be settling down a little, though I had spasms across my sternum/ribs tonight (which always feels very weird as well as being a little scary).
We're approaching an avalanche of new shows, so opinions please (I'm basing this on what the SMH listed, and some may never appear)?
US shows:
Prison Break
Close to Home (I watch Cold Case and Without a Trace)
Commander in Chief (I understand it's no WW)
The Evidence (huh...is it a midseason replacement in the US?)
Invasion (I did adore Shaun Cassidy's American Gothic)
Out of Practice (the only comedy I may vaguely be interested in)
I'm wary of Supernatural because of an irrational dislike of Jared Padalecki (I thought he was Riley from Buffy when he first appeared on Gilmore Girls and haven't been able to overcome that first bad impression), plus I'm not enamoured of 20-something boys. It also looks a little like too many other shows. I'd need a very compelling reason to give Bones a chance, she's not the Temp Brennan I know from the novels (which pisses me off no end), and as much as I liked Angel, David is not a good actor.
UK shows:
Bodies (medical drama?)
The Thick of It (I adored Chris Langham in People Like Us (I never realised he was a writer for The Muppet Show))
