Dec. 20th, 2004 01:55 amUmmmm...while I'm glad Surfacing is getting a response, I'm a little bit troubled by how much of a response it is getting on the CJ/D list, especially compared to a couple of my recent efforts. Because really, it isn't that great. I've written much better, and yet this is getting more feedback.
Colour me confuzzled and strangely enough a little upset.

Mum goes into hospital Tuesday, will either be home Wednesday or Thursday morning depending on how she is. Haemorrhoid-ectomy, and they're doing a colonoscopy while she's under. Poor Mum will be very sore.
She saw the specialist under a month ago and he just gave the date he'd operate (private hospital). Our GP was surprised he was doing it so close to Christmas.
She has to go through all the icky drinking stuff/no food tomorrow (Monday).

Hot today (Sunday), 38C (100F). We got a handful of spots of rain from the storms that moved through extremely quickly.
And bloody bugs are bugging me.

Have to write job application tomorrow (well now today). While of course I still want a job somewhere in the atmospheric science area, this is exactly the type of part time job I want. 10-20 hours per week, flexible hours, from home. Entering resumes into a database for a science recruitment agency. I know, sounds boring. But it pays well and there's science aspects and it's something I can do. And would make me feel like I'm contributing something, worthwhile.
Please send job vibes.
