I hate journal submission. So much easier when it was paper submission rather than electronic.
Hence why I'm up at 5.30am, and have been awake for 3/4s of a hour, even though I only went to bed at about quarter to 3.
I uploaded all the files etc, then it does its thing and you have to approve the resulting pdf files...however, it's put the file which has the article changes higlighted in bold, plus the file which has the article with those changes incorporated, and the two figures, into one pdf. And I don't know if that's right. And I didn't want to approve the file until I was sure.
Emailed them about 7 hours ago, still haven't heard back, have since emailed directly to the editorial assistant, and now i'm waiting and panicky. Because it's due today (Sept 1) and it's now about 3:30pm in DC and I'm worried it's going to be rejected for being late.
So tired after a couple of days and nights solid on this and my feet are swollen. I want to go to bed.
ETA: The editorial assistant, Lisa is out of town, but the lady filling in for her, April (wonderful name, my middle name in fact), emailed back to say to approve the converted files and she'll calculate the character count and let me know if it's too long.
But now I'm not sure whether to stay up till 7am (5pm DC time), just in case, or whether it will take longer than that.
My head's hurting.
