On the Harry Potter wagon
Dec. 28th, 2002 01:56 amFinally saw Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone.
Yes, I'm behind the times, but I got here eventually.
I liked the look of HP2 and wanted to see it, but then realised I kind of needed to see the first one. So my brother bought it for me for Christmas.
We watched it tonight. Loved it!
So many good things, but just a few points:
- The delectable Alan Rickman.
- The amazing Maggie Smith and Zoe Wanamaker.
- Norbert - my sister wants him to hate it in Romania and come back. Mum suggested a title: 'Harry Potter and The Return of Norbert'.
- Mum is a little deaf and when they were talking about the other dragons being mean to Norbert, mum thought it was "meat eaters". We promptly went into hysterics.
- Ron Weasley - if Tim Busfield (Danny "The West Wing"/Elliott "30something") and Charles Haid (Renko "Hill Street Blues") had a love child, Ron would be it.
Should I read the books?
