Those of you who live in genuinely cold countries, feel free to laugh.
But it's freezing in Sydney today. 10-12C (50-54F) across the city, there has to be a windchill factor on top of that. Very light showers.
Snow across areas of NSW, including areas within an hour or two of Sydney: Katoomba (in the Blue Mountains), Orange, Bathurst, Bowral (Babe country).
I've got my ugg boots on. It's a shock to the system, especially since we've been into the 20s (around 70F) over the last few weeks.

We're cable enabled. Bloody amazing. Takes 30 second to download mp3s, used to take 15-20 minutes.

Season finale of Medium last night. I so love that show. And while it probably sounds strange, my favourite part was the bit where she caught her jacket on the chair and how it was just left in/not refilmed and she just continued on. Made it so real.

And very last episode of Tru Calling - *sob*. And it was getting so damn interesting. I understand this episode was never screened in the US?

ETA: Tru Calling season 1 and 2 are being released here on dvd in August according to ezydvd. Will have to check that season 1 has the same extras as released in the US. But I don't think season 2 has been released in the US yet.

God, that IS cold. Bathurst doesn't normally get snow this early (or at all).

It hitting the low 30's here. With high humidity which is so wrong for London.

It usually only happens maybe once or twice a season.
It's just dropped to 9.8C in Sydney.

I loathe humidity with a passion. I barely cope with Sydney in February.

Yikes, for 5pm that's really, really bad.

Two of my cousins live in Noosa. I have no earthly idea how they cope in the summer humidity without going insane.

Noosa's not too bad in the summer - it's too close to the water to get really humid. Brisbane's probably worse

Perth is pretty cold too - i think its also that we aren't set up for cold weather - the best I can do is wear jeans to work, but they're not all that warm. And wear a couple of jumpers layered.

[identity profile] krazykitkat.livejournal.com 2005-06-23 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
True. It's okay when I'm at home, can rug up. But I'd probably be warm at work.
It's now 9.8C in Sydney city.

Wow that's cold - I think we were supposed to be 16C which I think is cold but I just went out without my scarf and it was ok.

Bed is the best place to be!!!

It's so very freezing out there. And so sudden. But then, I'm still not wearing a coat just a scarf and hat with my suit.

[identity profile] krazykitkat.livejournal.com 2005-06-23 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's worse because of the sudden. It's been so warm and sunny.

We had -10 celsius during the day in winter when I lived in Germany. How's that?

[identity profile] krazykitkat.livejournal.com 2005-06-23 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd be an icicle.

Nooooooo it's not supposed to snow in Bowral when I'm in Sydney dammit!

That means it's probably snowing near Moss Vale *sigh* if the weather's still like this tomorrow I'm going to go down tomorrow night and then back up here on Saturday :)

Speaking of Medium - I missed 5 mins in the middle of the ep so I put me out of line with the rest of the ep - her hubby was acting very suspicious towards the end - did we get a reason why?

Also missed SVU and Mary Stuart Masterson was in it *sigh*

[identity profile] krazykitkat.livejournal.com 2005-06-23 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
He wasn't suspicious, he was just getting angry about the amount of time/especially nights she was spending at work.

[identity profile] gossipcom.livejournal.com 2005-06-24 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Ah k well that makes more sense - thanks for that :)

*mocks the silly Aussie* ;)

It snowed in Queensland!! It hasn't done that since 1989
