Wheee!!
I'm just doing a little bit of a relieved Snoopy dance. My Masters supervisor just called, he got the reviews of a journal article we submitted back. They're recommending acceptance after revisions. Have to resubmit by March 31st. He said the reviews are a lot better than some of the ones he's had and those articles have been published.
So hopefully by the end of 2003 I will have an article published in Weather & Forecasting, which is an A-class American Meteorological Society journal.

I'd been wondering about it, so it's a nice early Chrissie pressie.
Though I'll probably be tearing my hair out once I get started on the revisions ;)

He was reading some of them over the phone to me, but I always find it hard to concentrate, I need to read it myself. Some of them I was thinking WTF, I addressed that. So some might be just making it clearer.
Others are a bit more substantial and might require some reanalysis.
But it is encouraging to know that they are recommending acceptance after the revisions. Not sure whether they have to have another look at it.

My supervisor did say that if they think revisions will take 6 months they give you 6 months. They've only given me 3 months, so it sounds like it isn't a huge redo.

Picked up the reviews, it's a bit of work but looks doable.
