So did Allison Janney attend the Emmys?
People with normal blood pressure should not be taking blood pressure medication...
Last night I found the middle finger on my right hand was swollen, still swollen this morning. Called my rheumatologist to ask whether I should see my GP, he said to come down straight away. Saw him at midday. He thinks it's inflammation/vasculitis (I don't normally get it in that finger and the cold weather is pretty much over). I hit I think it was that finger on Saturday (hurt ridiculously more than it should have), and it may've caused it.
So I'm on the triple bunger: Prednisone, the blood pressure medication and the nitrate patch (yes, I'm trying to quit). If it hasn't improved by the end of the week he's threatening hospital.
And my head is hurting constantly and I have to be careful getting up. And I'm going to be peeing all the time.

If it got to that stage, I'd have to have a drip with this stuff I can never remember the name of, which opens up the arteries/veins. Would be about 3 days in hospital, it has to be done under medical supervision as the blood pressure can drop too much. And I'd probably end up with a worse headache than the one I've got.
*glaring at my finger*

I hope it gets better without the hospital.

The head is definitely from the blood pressure drug, it's just a constant headache. Not sure about the stomach.
I have to call him on Thursday, and as long as it's still going down I'll ask him whether I can go off the blood pressure pill (I'd still be on the patch and prednisone (the prednisone has to be tapered off by half a pill every 3 days)).

Can you take anything for the headache? Or would that interfere with everything else?
*sends good thoughts*

I am really glad the fingers are getting better though.
