Here's the rainfall maps for the last 2 days in NSW. The red dots is 100mm+, which is 4 inches+. The cluster of green, with the orange and couple of red dots on the lower left side, on the second map is the Greater Sydney region.

After driving to Camperdown this morning I had to drive through a few roads which were flooded.

Part of the problem is councils/rta not keeping stormwater drains clear.

And while it would be good if some stormwater could be harvested, if I hear one more person say the water is being wasted, I'm going to punch them out! If Sydney wasn't here, guess where that rain would be going??? Into the rivers and out to sea! Fancy that. It's called the natural water cycle. And runoff is needed to keep the ground moist, and flush rivers/creeks etc.

I have frogs croaking in my pond again. less than 48 hours ago the pond was completely dry.

It's amazing. My brother's down at Campbelltown, and before the rain his pool (above ground) was about 4-5 inches from the top...after one day it was an inch from the top, I think it's probably overflowing by now.
